Job Description:
Maintenance Technician
* Report any Health and Safety incidents and/or near misses.
* Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
* Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
Technical Support:
* Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical issues on machines and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
* Maintain and update technical documentation for equipment and systems.
* Collaborate with engineering team to implement solutions that enhance equipment reliability.
Maintenance Activities:
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs on Pragma system.
* Provide technical support and guidance to technical operators.
* Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available when needed.
Inventory Management:
* Maintain a spares management system to track usage and reorder parts efficiently.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
* Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and availability of spare parts.
Performance Metrics:
* Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize machine availability and performance.
* Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Training and Development:
* Identify training needs and provide development opportunities for maintenance personnel.
Safety Procedures:
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Analyse maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
* Always adhere to Safety Procedures. Report all accidents/incidents, near misses to Safety Officer and Line Leader/Production Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
* A trade qualification with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
