Overview
Your mission: Are you a GP or a Doctor with a passion for preventative healthcare and lifestyle medicine?
We are looking for a like-minded physician to join our team in Dublin 4 on a sessional basis (weekly or bi-weekly depending on demand). This is a unique opportunity to step away from the pressures of acute general practice and focus on what truly matters: prevention, early detection, and patient empowerment. Working alongside our dedicated Nurse Specialist, you will deliver comprehensive health assessments for private corporate clients. You will have the time to listen, the space to examine thoroughly, and the satisfaction of guiding patients toward better long-term health.
Responsibilities
Consultations & Clinical Care: Conduct face-to-face health assessments in a calm, private setting.
Review pre-completed health questionnaires and take a deep dive into the patient’s medical history, lifestyle (diet, exercise, sleep, stress), and family background.
Perform thorough physical examinations, including cardiovascular, respiratory, abdominal, and where clinically indicated, dermatological, testicular, and breast examinations.
Preventative Focus
Interpret clinical findings to identify early risk factors.
Provide evidence-based lifestyle recommendations tailored to the individual.
Deliver results with clarity, sensitivity, and actionable advice.
Reporting & Follow-Up
Complete concise, accurate clinical reports following each assessment.
Provide verbal feedback to patients on the day.
Arrange follow-ups or refer to specialists/GPs (with patient consent) to ensure continuity of care.
Clinical Governance
Work within Medical Council guidelines, maintaining impeccable records in compliance with GDPR.
Your Profile
Essential
Fully registered with the Irish Medical Council.
Background in General Practice, Primary Care, or Occupational Health.
A genuine interest in lifestyle medicine, preventative health, and patient education.
Full Irish driving licence and own transport (essential for the Dublin 4 location). Current professional indemnity cover.
Skills
Strong clinical and diagnostic acumen.
Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex results simply.
High standard of documentation.
A professional, empathetic, and discreet manner.
Desirable
Experience in a private healthcare setting.
Additional training or certification in Lifestyle Medicine.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Why us?
Flexible sessional hours (weekly or bi-weekly based on demand).
You will never be alone; you are supported by an experienced Nurse Specialist in every clinic.
Spend your time doing what you trained for without the administrative burden of a typical practice.
