Responsibilities
Lead on strategy and execution of regulatory enforcement and investigations regarding digital safety rules and regulations with European and national regulators.
Support broader digital regulatory matters, particularly on enforcement processes relating to the Digital Services Act, Online Safety Act and other new and upcoming digital regulations in the EU and UK, with a focus on online safety and content regulation.
Collaborate and advise internal stakeholders regarding a wide range of regulatory online safety and content enforcement matters.
Support our online safety and content regulation governance and enforcement policy programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Significant post-qualification experience, including substantial time in a regulatory legal compliance role within a well-regarded private practice team or established in-house function.
Background in consumer-facing tech and/or digital media, or a solid understanding of these industries from private practice.
Experience advising on laws relating to user generated content, including the Digital Services Act in the EU and Online Safety Act in the UK.
Ability to manage a large number and variety of high profile, fast-paced and multi-jurisdictional regulatory investigations and navigate ambiguous legal and regulatory environments.
Previous experience of advising on the practical implementation of new laws and/or on regulatory disputes matters.
Ability to work as a team player who can effectively work with, manage and coordinate colleagues, internal stakeholders and the business.
Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity; and
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and proficient in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organisation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a technology or multinational organisation is beneficial.
