**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Care Manager to join our team. As a Residential Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential unit, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.
Main Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate daily shifts and rostering arrangements within the unit.
• Supervise Social Care Workers and provide effective guidance and support for the team.
• Manage all administrative procedures related to in-house cash and payroll.
• Address the primary care needs of each young person and contribute to stimulating activity programs.
• Maintain and update relevant records and files and provide written reports for reviews and case conferences.
• Ensure the rights and responsibilities of children are respected, preventing any forms of abuse, including bullying.
• Develop and maintain a therapeutic environment, focusing on individual and group work with young people and their families.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years experience working in a residential setting with children.
• CORU Registered desirable.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and risk management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including social work departments and healthcare providers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
