We are seeking a skilled IT Deskside Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring high service delivery across the organisation.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They will be responsible for:
* Providing on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
* Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and business applications.
* Effectively diagnosing & troubleshooting problems in Windows 10/11 and MS Office 365.
* Supporting video conferencing systems, meeting room technology, and AV equipment.
* Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems.
* Collaborating with IT colleagues and remote IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A relevant 3rd Level Qualification in IT, engineering or similar technical discipline.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL) are a plus.
* A minimum of 3 Years experience in a deskside or desktop support role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows environments.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
* Experience with imaging tools, remote support tools, and ticketing systems.
* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
