Applications are invited for the following position:


Senior Behaviour Therapist

Full-time, 35 hours per week, temporary 12-month specified purpose contract

Location: Central Management, St Vincent’s Centre, Navan Road, Dublin

Salary subject to relevant public sector experience.

Avista is a dynamic disability service providing clinical supports and residential services to children, young persons, and adults with complex disability needs and their families. We are establishing a Specialist Behaviour Support team as part of Avista’s strategic objectives. This position involves working across specialised service areas, day services, community, and residential services. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team with access to supervision and support, working in partnership with staff and families to support individuals to live their best lives.


Requirements:

* A minimum of 5 years full-time experience working in the area of intellectual disability.
* Level 8 qualification in health or social care from a recognized institution and professional registration.
* At least 1 year experience in Positive Behaviour Support.
* Completion of QQI Level 9 or higher qualification relevant to the specialist area.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies including the Health Act 2007, Regulations 2013, and others.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, caseload management, and IT skills.
* Full driving license and access to own transport.
* Level 2 behavioural competencies of the AVISTA Competency Framework.
