The ASI is currently recruiting a Care Worker for our Birr Day Centre, Johns Terrace, Birr, Co Offaly (Ref: R42 V188).
This is a permanent contract working 4 hours a week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care to people with dementia at the Birr Day Care Centre. Good communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to work on your own initiative.
To succeed in this role, previous experience in undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activities with people with dementia, older people, or individuals with intellectual disabilities is required.
A FETAC Level 5 qualification is desirable. Confidence in using IT and email is also advantageous.
We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with the care sector and based on relevant experience.
The role holder must adhere strictly to all national guidelines laid out in QSPD guidance and remain COVID-aware. Training in PPE, infection control, and other relevant areas will be provided by the ASI prior to the role holder entering a client’s home.
