Job Title: Maintenance / Facilities TechnicianLocation: Longford, IrelandAn established and growing medical device manufacturer based in Longford is currently seeking a Maintenance / Facilities Technician to join their onsite engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production uptime, and ensuring the smooth operation of facility systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting day-to-day maintenance activities, preventative maintenance programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.Key responsibilities:Carry out maintenance, repair, and rebuild activities on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructurePerform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimise downtimeRespond to breakdowns and repair requests in a timely manner to support production continuityConduct routine inspections and identify worn or faulty componentsMaintain accurate maintenance documentation and service recordsSupport improvements to existing machinery to enhance efficiency and reliabilityWork closely with production, engineering, and safety teams to maintain high operational standardsManage and maintain spare parts and maintenance inventoryWork onsite within a manufacturing environment as part of a shift-based teamRequirements:Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum of two years' experience in a maintenance or facilities role within a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience working in a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment is advantageousExperience with asset management systems such as Maximo is beneficial but not essential, as training will be providedAdditional information:Shift-based position with an initial two-cycle shift pattern, moving to a four-cycle system in the futureOpportunity to join a stable and well-established manufacturing site with long-term development opportunitiesIf you would like to learn more, please apply directly.Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering Industries Medical Equipment Manufacturing and Plastics Manufacturing
