Garden Centre Manager- Limerick
Our client, a well-known big box retail chain is seeking to recruit a Garden Centre manager for their busy Superstore in Limerick

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day operations within the Garden Centre, leading and motivating a team, and driving strong commercial and customer service results. With a strong emphasis on community, collaboration, and professional development, this role offers the chance to grow and make a real impact.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead by example a safety-first culture, driving the safety agenda on site.
2. Optimisation of sales & the continuous improvement of the store so that targets are met & exceeded.
3. Deliver excellent section standards consistently in line with operational requirements including merchandising & floor standards.
4. Assist in management duties as required, including keyholder duties.
5. Proactively support the Branch Manager to deliver on agreed objectives.
6. Assist in leading a motivated, engaged & enabled sales team ensuring colleagues receive relevant updates & ongoing development.
7. Manage weekly deliveries, ensuring best practice in stock control, ordering & ensuring availability of the relevant category products as required.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures, legislation & audit standards.
9. Assist in business administration as required, including managing cash, stock, systems etc.
Skills/Experience:
10. Relevant horticulturist qualification is essential for this role, preferably including people management experience.
11. A proven track record in retailing with strong product knowledge.
12. A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer experience with an understanding of how this drives sales and affects the bottom line.
13. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
14. Strong organisational, planning & time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
15. Ability to demonstrate initiative with a solutions-oriented approach.
16. Self-motivated and prepared to be flexible when the occasion demands.
