We are looking for our next Applications Engineer as we accelerate our growth journey. The Applications Engineer position will be a customer facing position that will work closely with, and support, our OEM and end-user customers to solve their challenging & high-value problems through the application of our automation product lines.
The ideal teammate will promote our growth by becoming the product use-case expert for our customers and provide their technical expertise to both customers and our regional sales staff in support of Design-In Win opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
1. Own Our Customers' Automation Technical Experience and Become Their Trusted Advisor
* Build strong relationships with your customers, gaining their confidence to become their trusted advisor for automation.
* Enhance your customers’ automation technical experience with Brooks Automation through face-to-face contact, supporting customer visits and Technical Review Meetings (TRMs). Add value through your in-depth knowledge of customer challenges.
1. Gather Intelligence
* Develop a deep understanding of customer applications, markets, and value addition to the semiconductor industry.
* Identify high-value problems and contribute to solutions by proposing Brooks products and producing detailed specifications.
* Share insights and customer needs with key stakeholders to support business growth.
2. Customer Design Reviews
* Prepare and present design reviews to clearly communicate technical scope to customers.
3. Regional Engineering
* Become an expert in our products’ use-cases to support pre-sales technical support.
* Respond promptly to customer questions and improve their technical experience.
* Provide rapid local engineering support.
4. Lead on-site evaluations, demonstrations, integrations, and optimize customer equipment performance
* Lead product integrations at customer sites, assist with testing, develop demonstrations, and optimize equipment performance.
* Support escalations and debug complex issues.
* Participate in trade shows and seminars.
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
* Experience with mechatronic systems, robotics, semiconductor industry, or automation.
* Proficiency in 2D CAD and understanding of electronic components and wiring diagrams.
* Problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, team player, and willingness to travel.
* Legal ability to travel internationally and possess a valid passport and driver’s license.
