Experienced Site Foreman required for residential housing developments in Galway
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead a team of tradespeople and laborers on construction sites.
* Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting schedules as needed.
* Ensure workers adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment.
* Monitor work progress and quality, providing feedback and reporting to the Site/Project Manager.
* Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to guide site activities.
* Organize tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained properly.
* Manage on-site issues and resolve conflicts or delays in collaboration with project management.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
* Maintain records of site activities, including daily logs, timesheets, and incident reports.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a foreman or in a similar supervisory role in construction, preferably on residential sites.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, materials, and safety regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Physical stamina and the ability to work in all weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €50,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
