The Opportunity
DB Computer Solutions is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our internal finance function.
This is a key role within the business, offering autonomy and responsibility in a supportive, close-knit environment.
It's ideal for someone looking to step into a pivotal position with long-term stability and ownership of the finance function.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare monthly and year-end reports; support external accountants and ensure compliance with Irish GAAP.
Provide historical financial analysis to support operational and commercial decisions.
Oversee payroll and respond to employee financial queries (e.g. pensions, expenses, commissions).
Maintain financial systems (currently Sage 200) and identify areas for process improvement.
Partner with the Managing Director to ensure financial accuracy and insight across the business.
Must-Haves
4+ years of hands-on accounting or finance experience.
Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Sage 200 experience is a plus).
Solid understanding of accounting standards, payroll, and compliance.
Based in Ireland and able to work on-site at our Limerick office.
Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently within a small team.
Nice-to-Haves
Recognized accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified.
Experience converting accounts to Irish GAAP or working with IFRS.
