We are seeking a commercially focused Financial Operations Leader to drive the financial operations of our organisation.
About The Role
This is a critical role for a finance professional who brings rigour, leadership and a strong appetite for change. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and effective control
* Consolidating and preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
* Driving improvements in ERP usage with a focus on automation and efficiency
* Overseeing external audit processes and maintaining strong relationships with auditors and advisors
* Managing cash flow debt financing and covenant reporting with a proactive and detail-driven approach
* Providing strategic financial insight and recommendations to senior leadership
* Ensuring tax compliance and managing external reporting in collaboration with advisors and payroll providers
* Leading and developing a small finance team building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
* Supporting compliance with private equity ownership reporting requirements
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders including banks and auditors
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
* A professional accounting qualification (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent) with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience
* Experience in a similar role within a multi-entity or complex organisational structure
* A strong audit background and experience managing external audit processes
* Experience in a private equity environment or leveraged business is a strong advantage
* A proven ability to lead and develop a small team
* Skill in financial analysis problem-solving and decision-making
* A strong communicator with the confidence to work across all levels of the organisation
* A high level of personal drive initiative and ability to get things done
* Strong ERP system experience
