Qualifications
2-4 years’ PQE in a top-tier or leading commercial law firm
Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
Exposure to corporate transactions, due diligence or M&A
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with strategic objectives
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Role and Reporting Lines
This role sits within the Legal team and works closely with Commercial, Sales and Corporate Development functions across the organisation. The successful candidate will report into senior legal leadership and operate as a key business partner to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts – Draft, review and negotiate software license agreements, service contracts and other complex commercial arrangements.
Business Partnering – Work closely with sales and commercial teams to support transactions while balancing risk management and commercial objectives.
Regulatory Advisory – Provide advice on legal and regulatory matters relating to financial technology products and platforms.
Corporate Development – Support due diligence and legal structuring of mergers, acquisitions and strategic investments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with product, finance and operations teams to ensure legal alignment with business strategy.
External Counsel Management – Liaise with and manage external legal advisers on strategic matters.
