Job Title: Senior Receptionist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Receptionist to join our Front Office team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a warm and professional demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

* Greet all guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, using guest names where possible
* Manage daily guest correspondence and ensure special requests are fulfilled
* Prepare and distribute the Daily VIP List to the relevant departments
* Sensibly allocate rooms, keeping guest preferences and requests in mind
* Perform accurate check-in and check-out procedures using our computerised system
* Assist guests with additional requirements such as dinner reservations, porter services, or local recommendations
* Handle any guest concerns promptly and discreetly, escalating where necessary to the Duty Manager
* Take reservations after 5.00 p.m. and during busy periods
* Operate the hotel switchboard, ensuring calls are transferred promptly and professionally
* Accurately post all charges, manage minibar accounts, and ensure group billing is correct
* Reconcile reception cash and handle foreign exchange transactions securely
* Provide hands-on training and guidance for new and junior staff
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of all hotel services and facilities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar receptionist or front office role, ideally within a 4 or 5-star property
* Strong leadership qualities and attention to detail
* Professional and polished communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
* A genuine passion for hospitality and luxury service
* Competence in using front office systems (Opera Cloud or similar an advantage)
* A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
