Chief Information Officer (CIO) Office Location - North Dock One, 91/92 North Wall Quay, Dublin, D01 H7V7
This is a PCF-49 position, subject to approval by the Central Bank of Ireland.
The appointment is a controlled function under the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011, requiring compliance with Fitness and Probity standards.
Due diligence will be conducted to ensure the appointee's fitness and probity.
Position Overview We seek an experienced CIO to lead our technology and information strategy, oversee ICT operations, and manage ICT risk and governance.
Reporting directly to the Group CISO in Greenwich, CT, the CIO will ensure effective execution of ICT strategies, data protection, cybersecurity, and provide advisory support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain and improve the information and technology operating model for EU operations.
Provide management with transparency on information strategy, operations, risk exposure, and remediation options.
Maintain cybersecurity and data protection programs aligned with group standards and regulations.
Manage information strategy and technology operations in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CBI, ECB, DORA, PRA/FCA).
Ensure accountability for IT operations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of technology and information strategies.
Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as CIO with at least 8+ years, preferably in financial services.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with credibility across all business levels.
Independent, decisive, with a proactive approach and resilience.
Sound judgment, commercial acumen, and high integrity.
Highly organized and resilient.
Experience operating in a matrix environment with virtual teams.
Knowledge of current and emerging technology trends.
Experience interacting with regulators, notably CBI.
