The Ashdown Park Hotel have an exciting new job opportunity for a maintenance/accommodation porter Suitable Candidate must previously experience in a maintenance role Key Responsibilities of this role are: Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks across multiple areas with a key focus on bedroom & accommodation areas Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues, especially those affecting safety or business continuity Perform general upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areas Work closely with contractors for specialist repairs and ensure standards are maintained Ensure all work is completed with a strong focus on safety, especially during trading hours Keep clear and accurate maintenance records, thru snapfix Store and maintain tools and equipment safely and appropriately Communicate regularly with the Department Manager and relevant site managers on task progress Escalate larger or specialist issues to be handled by external contractors when necessary Remain flexible and willing to support across all departments as required Be able to clean hotel bedrooms and public areas to company standard. All training provided on site Keep your area of work clean & tidy To maximise guest satisfaction by maintaining standards of cleanliness & hygiene in your assigned bedrooms, corridors and public areas. To clean assigned bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas and to ensure stocks of bathroom and bedrooms items are replenished to correct standards. To greet all guests in a warm, friendly and courteous fashion and to maintain a professional manner at all times Key Requirements 2-3 years' experience in a similar maintenance role Practical skills in areas such as painting, plumbing, basic building work, or general repairs Good awareness and understanding of health & safety practices Excellent communication and organisation skills Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to task management Fluent English (written and spoken) A qualification in electrical work is an advantage but not essential Friendly outgoing personality Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills Standards driven and detail-orientated. Ability to multi-task in fast-paced essential for this role Good Time management Flexible with regards to hours.
