Accountant Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a growing business. The successful candidate will play a key role in the finance function and work closely with a forward-thinking leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning: Preparation of monthly management accounts for several entities within the group, including cashflow forecasting and daily cashflow requirements.
2. Debt and Credit Management: Oversight of debtors and creditors, supported by the wider accounts team.
3. Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, Intrastat, etc.).
4. Audit Coordination: Coordination of statutory audits and liaison with auditors and external advisors.
5. Relationship Management: Maintaining strong working relationships with banks, insurers, and other stakeholders.
6. Performance Improvement: Developing and monitoring KPIs to support financial and operational performance.
7. Cost Efficiency: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and contributing to group-wide efficiencies.
8. Strategic Support: Supporting overall business strategy alongside the management team.
9. Team Leadership: Supervising and developing members of the finance function.
10. Financial Safeguarding: Ensuring robust financial controls and reporting are in place to safeguard the business.
