Electrical Engineering Officer Job
This is a leadership and technical role at the heart of Naval operations, with responsibility for managing critical onboard systems and supporting mission success.
The Electrical Engineering Officer will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and upgrading complex systems across the fleet.
Key aspects of this role include power generation, navigation, communications, weapons systems, environmental control, and IT infrastructure.
Officers are encouraged to undertake funded professional development in areas such as project management and engineering qualifications.
The successful candidate will be required to meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards.
A competency-based interview, medical exam, and Garda vetting will be conducted at the Naval Base, Haulbowline Island, Cork.
* Responsible for electrical, electronic, and control systems governing manoeuvrability, defence, and intelligence functions.
* Designs, installs, maintains, and upgrades complex onboard systems.
* Ensures seamless operation of power generation, navigation, communications, and weapons systems.
