Position: Junior Field Based Engineer

Reports to: Professional Services Manager
General Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Field Engineer who has recently completed their education in a field related to IT, computer sciences, or a similar discipline.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies, work closely with experienced engineers on various projects, and collaborate with different teams within our organization.
Position Responsibilities:
· Assist senior engineers in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure for our clients.
· Provide on-site support to clients as needed, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring prompt resolution of technical problems.
· Collaborate with project teams to deploy and integrate new technologies, including cloud services, networking equipment, and security solutions.
· Participate in the documentation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices.
· Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the stability and security of client environments.
· Assist in the setup and configuration of user accounts, email systems, and other IT services.
· Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, communicating technical information effectively and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· IT/Computer Science related college qualification
· Strong understanding of IT fundamentals, including networking, operating systems, and hardware components.
· Familiarity with common software applications, such as Microsoft Office, antivirus programs, and backup solutions.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Eagerness to learn new technologies and a proactive attitude towards professional development.
Preferred qualifications or experience.
· Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
· Previous experience in a customer-facing role or internship in IT support.
· Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, virtualization technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
