Workshop Engineer Role Overview The role of a workshop engineer involves the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing or production environment. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, effectively, and safely. This includes identifying potential issues before they become major problems, performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and conducting thorough inspections to identify any underlying faults. To be successful in this role you will have experience working with mechanical systems including forklift trucks, plant fitters, plant technicians, vehicle technicians or similar types of roles. You will also need excellent problem-solving skills along with ability to work independently.
