This is a "Mid-Shift" role with hours of work being 15:30pm – 12:00am (Monday – Thursday) and 14:15pm – 20:15pm (Friday).
General Description:
The line equipment technician is key to the successful operation of the manufacturing line. They serve as the SME for equipment processes within the manufacturing area, providing technical expertise for equipment issue resolution and maintaining continuous operation. The technician owns equipment downtime metrics and product yields, ensuring optimal output through monitoring and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of equipment performance and reliability, targeting zero downtime through proactive management.
* Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, working towards structured enhancements.
* Evaluate equipment and process inputs/outputs to ensure optimal performance, taking proactive actions.
* Complete preventive maintenance on time and implement improvements as needed.
* Identify and support the implementation of jigs/fixtures to improve efficiency and yield.
* Ensure tooling and consumables are available and in good condition.
* Maintain sufficient Kanban and spares to minimize downtime.
* Support onboarding of new technicians.
• Fully competent in manufacturing product steps, identifying accept/reject samples, understanding product use, and performing functional testing where required.
• Review manufacturing processes for proper application of methods and settings.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding equipment and process issues, providing data-driven plans for resolution.
• Support equipment introduction and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
* Level 6 or above in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar technical role is required, with experience in automated equipment maintenance being an advantage.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex machine faults, electrical and pneumatic systems.
* Motivated with good initiative and strong work ethic.
* Process and continuous improvement mindset.
* Excellent time management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong commitment to quality, safety, and GMP standards.
