are delighted to partner with my Reinsurance client to hire an Actuarial Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract to their Dublin operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the quarterly valuation of loss reserves for four subsidiaries, covering multiple territories and lines of business.
* Prepare actuarial exhibits and support the Financial Reporting and Claims teams, including reserve development commentary, cash-flow projections, regulatory deliverables, and Actuary report inputs.
* Perform data validation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and identifying opportunities to improve data quality and data processing.
* Support the IFRS 17 Actuarial Project Lead in implementing and testing new IFRS17 reporting software.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant non-life insurance experience
* Understanding of non-life reserving techniques and actuarial principles.
* Advanced Excel skills; VBA beneficial.
* Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Part qualified Actuary or a Minimum 2.1 honours degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related analytical discipline.
* Knowledge or experience with IFRS 17 methodologies.
* Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
