HSE Dental Services provides oral health care, emergency, and routine dental services to the eligible population of children under 16 years (including preschool, primary school, post primary children) and eligible adults with special needs.
Routine and emergency services are provided to children and adults with special healthcare needs, children in the care of the HSE and patients of any facility maintained by the HSE.
Future developments for the service will include enhanced care for certain vulnerable groups.
These services include emergency and routine dental care, oral health promotion, dental care to special needs groups, and public dental health services.
