As we enter an accelerated growth phase across several business sectors, we are seeking professional & enthusiastic Revit/CAD Technician to meet the demand for our services.
The work will be primarily office based, working with a project team you will assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering design drawings for a broad range of engineering projects. All work will be carried out in accordance with the company ISO 9001 procedures.
Responsibilities:
Produce REVIT/CAD drawings for Electrical and Mechanical engineering work. CAD/REVIT MEP Modelling across Mechanical and Electrical services.
Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
Planning project programs/scheduling.
Preparing submittals.
Work closely with the Project, Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.
Follow CAD/REVIT content standards and development procedures.
Adhere to Execution Plan and project workflow criteria.
Using AutoCAD / REVIT MEP for drawing production including General Arrangements, Sections and Detail Views.
Run clash detection on models and generate clash detection reports and resolve clashes across Mechanical and Electrical services using CAD/REVIT software.
Key Requirements:
Professional MEP BIM Certification.
3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience as a REVIT/CAD Technician using AutoCAD / REVIT MEP, working within a team of technicians and engineers.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Positive attitude to learning and wanting to improve.
Mechanical or Electrical background and have a proven track record in a similar role.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.
Ability to work to defined procedures and coach others in standardising Design.
Relevant qualification in REVIT/CAD or Engineering (e.g., Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline).
Strong attention to detail and technical drawing skills.
Fluent in English.
Ability to work under pressure, to project deadlines, while maintaining adherence to process disciplines.
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the above requirements and who can demonstrate a working experience within the MEP field.
Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Ability to commute/relocate to Kilkenny.
