A major European semiconductor company based in Dublin which excels in microcontrollers, sensors, and power electronics, with strong positions in automotive, EV, and industrial markets are seeking to bolster their team with an experienced Verification Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design and development of verification infrastructure, including scalable and reusable testbench components and test cases for multiple projects and platforms.
* Define and implement verification strategies (e.g., constrained random, formal, directed) for digital, mixed-signal IPs, subsystems, and SoC-level verification.
* Work across various verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM, and SystemVerilog-based testbenches.
* Create, document, and execute test plans, while developing and debugging constrained-random verification suites to ensure complete coverage of the design under test.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design and post-silicon groups, to support product bring-up, validation, and successful delivery.
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 7–9 years of relevant industry experience.
* Strong expertise in verification methodologies (UVM, OVM, SystemVerilog) and hands-on development of verification infrastructure for complex digital or mixed-signal IPs, subsystems, or SoCs (including test cases, scoreboards, and SystemVerilog Assertions).
* Proficient in functional and code coverage techniques, with good understanding of power-aware verification using UPF and gate-level simulations.
* Skilled in scripting and automation using languages such as C, Python, Tcl, or Perl, with a proactive drive to improve verification processes and methodologies.
* Demonstrate strong problem-solving, teamwork, and multitasking abilities; familiarity with automotive functional safety (ISO 26262), digital/mixed-signal design, and industry-standard protocols (e.g., AHB, AMBA, AXI, SPI, LIN, UART) is highly desirable.
