JOB SUMMARY
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on failed server components, including SSDs, Annapurna, Memory DIMMs, Motherboards, and CPUs.
* Adhere to safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as required by Jabil.
* Comply with and follow all procedures within Jabil's security policy.
* Analyze failure data and test scripts from failed units, and participate in testing of failed components using provided testers and scripts.
* Follow supplied run books and escalate gaps to Test engineer and LDT.
* Accurately identify failed components using hardware and software diagnostic scripts along with a visual inspection.
* Assist Debug Senior/Lead Debug tech. with reporting yield data trends, analysis, and share feedback with Line Leads, Operations, Test, and Quality.
* Complete documentation of all actions taken and keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference.
* Troubleshoot failed server components by following the predetermined instruction path.
* Validate debug diagnoses, post rework, by using debug validation script.
* Participate in other ad-hoc duties assigned.
* Participate in Kaizen events.
* Actively track own efficiency and output and work with LDT/Engineer to hit targets.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 12 months' experience working in Jabil (technical role) is essential.
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel is required.
* Understanding of server hardware is necessary.
* Basic understanding of Linux Operating System is required.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of shell scripting are needed.
* Basic understanding of various test tools used in the Debug process at Jabil is required.
* Knowledge of Jabil Operating systems, such as iFactory/JDoc, is advantageous.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of Process Control Plans are necessary.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of Failure Mode Effective Analysis are required.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of Material Review Board (MRB) Process and its implementation are necessary.
* Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation, such as D-Tree, Schematics, BOMs, Visual aids, Debug, Testing tools, and procedures.
* Basic understanding of ticket management process and functionality on iFactory (Debug comment tool) is required.
* Ability to manage deadlines is necessary.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills is required.
* Certification in Jabil Mandatory trainings, including Manual Handling, Environmental, Health & Safety, Jabil's Cyber Security, Jabil's Dignity at Work, Jabil's ESD Training, and Jabil's 5S Training, is necessary for internal candidates.
* Familiarity with Jabil's Manufacturing Overview is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics (Software elective)/Mechatronics/Computer Programming/Science or related discipline (L6/7) is required.
* 1-2 years' experience working as a Debug Technician or similar role is necessary. May substitute experience for educational requirements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills/Linux is required.
