Vickerstock are delighted to partner with a reputable FMCG company, recruiting an accountant to join their Finance team. This role offers growth opportunities and progression into a Financial Controller position.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, experience with SAGE software, and efficient workload management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices, credits, and prepare payment files
* Assist in monthly accounts preparation and general ledger postings
* Record bank transactions and manage reconciliations
* Balance sheet management and account reconciliations
* Assist in VAT returns and external audits
* Oversee payroll processing and liaise with HR for record-keeping
* Contribute to IT initiatives and ongoing finance projects
Desirable Skills:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in an SME environment
* Proficiency in SAGE and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Experience in the FMCG sector is advantageous
* Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
* Desire for continuous improvement and initiative-driven
