The work of the System Engineering Team has a significant impact on the daily activities of hundreds of engineers worldwide. We support Dell UDS engineers at every stage of software development, from writing the code to the release of our products to the customer.You will:Maintain automated processes, virtual and hardware infrastructure; monitor systems and troubleshoot failures for large scale distributed storage environmentsContribute to the design and implementation of tools, processes and infrastructure to support the Continuous Integration PipelineImplement company standards and practices to ensure quality and securityDevelop solutions that improve the reliability and effectiveness of the software delivery processLearn and share knowledge in hands on sessions and by maintaining documentationTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements3-5 years of related experience in networking and vCenter, preferably for large scale distributed environmentsExperience in applying SRE practices to automation frameworks, infrastructure management, monitoring and troubleshooting, using tools such as Salt, ZabbixKnowledge of Linux, Docker, shell scripting. Experience with infrastructure security would be a plus. Excellent programming skills, preferably in Python.Java, C++ experience would be a plusHands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL administration and queries, as well as LDAP directory service would be a plusAbility to translate business requirements into precise, unambiguous technical specs; advanced prompting and context engineering to guide AI tools toward desired outputsDesirable RequirementsCapacity to achieve proficiency in new tools, languages and frameworks with training and on-the-job experienceFamiliarity with distributed / cluster management systemsWho we areWe believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
