My client is seeking to appoint a Finance Transformation Manager for their head office team in Dublin. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO.
The Finance Transformation Manager will be instrumental in shaping the future of the finance function within a dynamic FMCG and retail environment. Key responsibilities include leading the reimagining and implementation of target operating models (TOMs), driving digital finance initiatives, and overseeing large-scale transformation programs to enhance agility, scalability, and business impact.
The ideal candidate will have a background in finance transformation or reorganization, preferably from a consultancy or Big 4 advisory firm, with strong data analytics skills and experience with finance BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, ideally within retail or FMCG sectors.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement future-state Finance Target Operating Models (TOMs) across key finance domains, including P2P, O2C, R2R, and FP&A, tailored for FMCG and retail operations.
2. Lead end-to-end finance transformation programs focusing on digital enablement, process standardization, and cost efficiency.
3. Collaborate with commercial, operations, and IT teams to align finance capabilities with business objectives.
4. Assess and transform existing finance processes, supporting centralization or shared services models where appropriate.
5. Utilize technology (e.g., SAP, Oracle, RPA) to automate and streamline reporting, forecasting, and transactions.
6. Enhance performance, insights, and decision-making through transformed FP&A and business partnering.
7. Maintain strong internal controls and compliance during transformation initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
2. 7+ years of experience in finance, including at least 3 years leading transformation projects.
3. Experience in FMCG, retail, or consumer-focused organizations.
4. Proven track record of designing and implementing TOMs with measurable results.
5. Experience across commercial, supply chain, and transactional finance areas.
6. Knowledge of shared services, outsourcing, or GBS models is advantageous.
7. Deep understanding of finance operations in FMCG and retail sectors.
8. Expertise in finance operating models, organizational change, and transformation delivery.
9. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, especially with non-finance teams.
10. Ability to manage transformation in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
11. Strategic mindset with practical delivery skills.
12. Strong knowledge of ERP, planning, and automation tools.
13. Agile thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
