We are seeking a seasoned IT Systems Manager to spearhead the day-to-day operations of our ICT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, strong technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze and resolve complex system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
* Develop and implement effective patch management strategies to ensure the security and compliance of our systems.
* Manage VMware environments for virtualisation needs and oversee Microsoft Server Management to guarantee optimal performance.
* Coordinate firewall management to maintain network security and manage networking tasks, including Aruba WiFi management.
* Provide mobile device management to support staff and supervise the Support Desk to ensure timely resolution of issues.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and engage with managers, staff, and end-users to deliver high-quality services.
Desirable Competencies:
* Proven experience in managing and deploying patches across various systems to ensure security and compliance.
* Proficiency in managing a service desk, overseeing ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Familiarity with ITIL practices is beneficial.
* Strong leadership skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the IT team, including coordinating tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Expertise in VMware for managing virtual environments, including configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Linux systems, scripting and automation tools for Linux environments, and Palo Alto firewalls. They should also have knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and system performance monitoring using PRTG.
