I am recruiting on behalf of my client in West Cork for a Production Assistant Manager to support team development and drive process improvement within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support production teams across shifts to ensure smooth daily operations
* Assist the Production Manager in achieving key performance targets
* Identify and implement practical process improvements
* Develop team capability through coaching and on-the-job training
* Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
* Handle day-to-day staff queries and escalate issues where needed
* Contribute to planning, audits, and cross-functional meetings
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within food manufacturing
* Strong leadership and team engagement skills
* Good understanding of factory operations and production processes
* Proven track record of driving improvement initiatives
* Excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach
