This established food production facility in Co. Wexford is expanding and looking for a skilled and motivated Head Chef to lead its growing kitchen operations. This is a daytime role with early start, Monday to Friday, 5AM – 2PM. Please note own transport is required with this role.
The Head Chef will oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality output, and efficient team performance. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate daily food production operations.
* Organise workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient team performance.
* Manage stock levels, place supplier orders, and liaise with stores for on-time delivery.
* Maintain production schedules and ensure all orders meet quality and timing standards.
* Develop and expand the product range to drive growth and innovation.
* Monitor performance, standards, and compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
* Train, mentor, and support production team members.
* Promote company values and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
About You
* Experienced Head Chef or senior kitchen professional with strong production management skills.
* Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
* Strong understanding of HACCP, health & safety, and food production standards.
