Job Title: Staff Grade Physiotherapist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team in an Older Persons Rehabilitation Hospital in Limerick.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their experience in stroke rehabilitation within a structured setting, working alongside senior physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy programs for older adults recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or stroke, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, functional independence, and quality of life in a hospital rehabilitation setting.
About the Role
As a staff grade physiotherapist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical needs, including mobility, strength, and balance, and developing and delivering evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation plans.
You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nurses, and medical staff, to provide comprehensive care to patients across the hospital, including those in the dedicated stroke beds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed physiotherapy assessments of patients' physical needs, including mobility, strength, and balance.
* Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation plans.
* Work collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary Team, including OTs, Nurses, and Medical Staff.
* Support patients across the hospital, including those in the dedicated stroke beds.
* Contribute to discharge planning and liaise with families and caregivers.
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards.
* Provide advice on mobility aids, exercise programs, and rehabilitation techniques.
Educational Requirements:
* Degree in Physiotherapy.
* CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
