A leading, full-service Irish law firm is seeking a highly motivated and established Partner to join its market-leading Regulatory Group in Dublin.
This is a strategic hire aimed at significantly expanding the team’s capability in complex EU regulation, public procurement, and competition law. The role offers a strongly supported platform that naturally generates significant, high-profile mandates in these areas.
The hire is strategic and does not require a portable client following.
A Partner with an established portable practice or a robust business development plan is equally supported and encouraged.

Key Requirements & Skills
The successful Partner will be skilled in the following essential and sought-after areas:
Public Procurement and EU Regulatory: Advising clients on EU Procurement Directives, strategy, and handling all phases of procurement challenges, including judicial review.
EU Regulatory & Technology: Providing specialized advisory services in EU regulations which may include competition law, Artificial Intelligence (AI) law, and cyber security (including NIS2 and DORA).
Note: Expertise in EU law and procurement is essential. The technology and competition specialisms are highly sought after but not essential.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive, market-leading legal advice across public procurement, EU law, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and manage the prosecution or defence of procurement challenges (e.g., judicial review proceedings).
Advise on compliance and risk management related to key EU regulations (e.g., Circular Economy legislation, the European AI Act, NIS2, and DORA).
Drive significant business development and client relationship management, leveraging either a portable practice or a robust business plan.
Contribute to thought leadership and legislative/regulatory drafting input.
Mentor and supervise junior team members, maintaining high standards of excellence.
Essential Candidate Profile
Qualification: Qualified Solicitor (in Ireland is highly preferred).
Experience (PQE): Minimum of 8 years PQE in a relevant practice area (Public Procurement, EU Law, and potentially competition law).
Proven experience in both non-contentious procurement advice and procurement litigation.
Deep knowledge of EU Procurement Directives and Irish implementing legislation.
Demonstrable expertise in providing strategic advice on complex EU regulatory compliance matters.
