We are hiring an Staff Nurse‑Medical/Surgical Ward for our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Job Title: Staff Nurse
Department: Medical / Surgical Wards
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality pre-, peri-, and post‑procedure nursing care and support the effective management of patient care within the unit.
Provide safe, comprehensive, and patient‑centred nursing care in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, with minimal supervision.
Manage the care and treatment of elective patients, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained.
Develop, implement, and document individualised care plans based on patient needs and best practice guidelines.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and adhere to Infection Prevention and Control standards.
Promote and maintain the safety, health, and wellbeing of patients, while respecting their dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
Ensure all patient records are accurately maintained and managed in line with hospital policies and relevant legislation.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team.
Practice within the professional guidelines set by NMBI and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
Demonstrate flexibility by supporting other departments and areas of the hospital as required.
Requirements
Registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Demonstrates evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
Minimum of two years post‑registration experience in an acute hospital setting as a Staff Nurse.
