Job Description
As the Branch/Country Manager you will be responsible for the next period of growth and diversification. You will build on the strength, reputation and income stream of its current core product category and leverage the Group wide expertise whilst building a local team of specific product and functional experts to offer breadth across the parents' specialty insurance product portfolio.
You will manage the branch P&L, build a team of underwriters, analysts and broker account and new business development team members based out of new offices in Dublin and build the companys' presence and strengths with its key intermediaries and clients across multiple industry sector groups. You will train, supervise and develop its employees and plan, forecast and budget for a coherent and efficient approach towards client management in order to achieve agreed targets and KP. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the company's operations in Ireland and ensuring corporate expansions run smoothly and efficiently, developing strategic plans for revenue growth and brand awareness
1. Establishing objectives and guidelines, conducting market research and analysis to find international business and client opportunities
2. Leading, organising, co-coordinating, monitoring sales within the branch in order to ensure an appropriate approach for potential and existing clients
3. Making internal proposals to bring the product more in line with local market standards, analysing the local market, developing new products and tailor made solutions
4. Managing and developing internal (between different departments) and external relationships (policyholders, brokers, institutions and agencies involved in business) in order to ensure an optimal management in line with the objectives and strategy of the company
5. Representing the company with regard to local authorities, in particular tax and supervisory authorities, answering questions from local authorities,. during tax audits in order to be in conformity with regulatory requirements
6. Initiating the budget cycle and controlling the costs in order to defend the branch's performance towards the management
7. Monitoring the branch's insureds portfolio; within the delegation rules,
8. Ensuring personnel management within the branch, coaching and supervising the staff members in order to create a motivating work environment for the team
9. Maintaining a strong brand and market representation
