Role: Web Application Firewall (WAF) SpecialistLocation:Dublin (Remote) - 6 month contract ASAP start dateThis role focuses on the Cyber Pillar – WAF Remediation Stream, with a dotted-line collaboration to the Cyber Cloud & Application Engineering team.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Project Manager to plan and execute the migration of all applications to WAF Protect Mode within project timelines.Migrate applications to PulseSecure WAF, beginning in Detect Mode, and subsequently progressing to Protect Mode.Analyse applications running in Detect Mode, identifying necessary remediations.Collaborate with Application Development teams to implement remediations across both application code and WAF configurations.Adhere to Change Management processes to ensure seamless migrations with no service disruption.Design and implement scalable WAF protection, ensuring new applications are secured by default while optimising performance and minimising management overhead.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for WAF migration and configuration.Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with the Cloud & Application Engineering team.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in managing and configuring Web Application Firewalls.Skilled in diagnosing and advising development teams to resolve WAF-related application issues.Experience identifying and remediating WAF false positives.Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.Desirable SkillsHands-on experience managing and configuring core networking services within a virtual traffic manager.Knowledge of using WAF to secure static websites, web applications, and APIs.Experience applying WAF protection in on-prem, Azure IaaS, and Azure PaaS environments.Familiarity with protecting applications developed in .NET and Java.Understanding of DevSecOps processes and experience with Azure DevOps.Role DetailsExpertise Required: Web Application Firewall (WAF) – P5 Master levelWork Mode: RemotePay Rate: €359 PAYE / €477 Umbrella
