This exciting opportunity will see you develop your technical skills, as well as your management and commercial abilities, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for preparing civil infrastructure drawings / details for site development, roads infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, public health infrastructure, etc. You will work on a wide range of projects including healthcare, education, conservation, retail, residential, civil infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
* As a key member of the Civil Engineering team, you will deliver project drawings to the required technical standards in a timely manner reporting to the project manager.
* You will also oversee and check standards on project drawings by junior technicians.
* The ideal candidate will have experience of producing 2D drawings in Autocad and 3D model designs in Autodesk Civil 3D.
* You will carry out site inspections and attend Design Team meetings, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the company's ISO procedures.
* Prepare risk assessments, health & safety plans, and demonstrate efficient work practices, working within tight deadlines.
* Develop the skills of staff that report to you through mentoring, delegation, and training.
What we're looking for:
* A Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCad 2D & AutoDesk Civil 3D is essential.
* Leadership skills to plan, manage, and direct resources required to solve complex problems in multidisciplinary teams.
* High level of commercial understanding and application.
* A successful track record working closely in partnership with clients and contractors and other members of design teams.
* Strong communication skills both oral and written.
* Appreciation of the full Project Delivery Process.
