Job Title:
We are seeking an experienced Postgre SQL Database Administrator to lead the migration and modernization of a public sector application from MS Access to Postgre SQL.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transitioning the internal application, developing a web-based front-end, and ensuring best practices in backup, recovery, and database performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead database migration and modernisation efforts
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a secure, optimised solution
* Support front-end development of the new web interface
* Maintain clear technical documentation
Requirements:
* 6+ years' experience with Postgre SQL and SQL
* Solid knowledge of Linux and scripting
* Experience with web UI development
* Strong database design, security, and optimisation skills
* Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
