About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our team, supporting children aged 1–5 years in a nurturing, play-based environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the daily provision of a stimulating, caring, and inclusive setting that promotes each child's holistic development and wellbeing, in line with Aistear, Síolta, and all current regulatory requirements.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, and review developmentally appropriate, interest-based activities that support children's emerging needs.Foster a secure, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.Observe, record, and assess children's development and learning using tools such as learning journals, observations, and checklists.Promote positive behaviour management in line with the service's Positive Behaviour Policy.Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.Ensure compliance with all relevant Tusla Childcare Regulations and internal policies and procedures.Adhere to Child Protection and Welfare policies and report any concerns to the Designated Liaison Person (DLP).Participate actively in team meetings, curriculum planning, and continuous professional development (CPD).Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised learning environment.Contribute to the ongoing review and implementation of quality frameworks such as Síolta standards.Essential RequirementsMinimum QQI Level 5 Major Award in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent).Good knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, and the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016.Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Understanding of Child Protection and Welfare principles.Garda Vetting clearance and two satisfactory references.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and use initiative when required.Desirable Skills & QualificationsLevel 6 or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education.Previous experience in a Tusla-registered early years service.Training in First Aid (FAR), Manual Handling, Fire Safety, or HACCP.Additional training in areas such as Special Educational Needs (SEN), Behaviour Management, or Outdoor Play.Personal AttributesWarm, caring, and respectful approach to children.Strong organisational and time management skills.Professional, reliable, and flexible attitude.Commitment to providing high-quality early learning and care.Reflective practitioner who values continuous learning and development.Benefits:· Further Education and Upskilling opportunities· Health Care Benefits· Ongoing professional development· Staff Discount on Childcare Places· Refer a friend Bonus· Competitive Rates of PayJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentPay: €17.00-€18.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 39 per weekBenefits:ChildcareEmployee discountPrivate medical insuranceSick payWellness programWork Location: In personExpected start date: 17/11/2025
