About this role
Delivery Operations Manager – Ireland reports to the Head of Delivery Operations UK & Ireland and is responsible for the operational performance of the delivery network across the Irish market.
The role focuses on improving delivery performance across key operational metrics including delivery speed, cancellations, outlier poor experiences, and overall network efficiency, ensuring a strong experience for customers, couriers, and partners.
In addition to network performance ownership, the role works closely with Strategic Account Teams to understand partner pain points, provide operational insights, and identify solutions that improve network performance.
The role also acts as the voice of couriers within the Irish market, maintaining a strong understanding of courier experience and behaviour by spending time in-market, including regularly completing courier runs and engaging directly with couriers to gather feedback and insights that inform operational decisions.
These are some of the key components to the position:
Own the end-to-end operational performance of the Irish delivery network.
Conduct performance deep dives to diagnose operational issues and define corrective actions.
Work closely with the Cost Optimisation Manager to ensure operational performance aligns with cost efficiency goals.
Partner with the Courier Optimisation Manager to ensure courier supply and readiness support network performance.
Maintain strong awareness of courier behaviour and feedback, ensuring operational improvements reflect real-world courier experience.
Collaborate with Network Optimisation, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure operational insights inform improvements to the delivery network.
Support operational governance forums including Weekly Business Reviews and performance reviews and identify opportunities to improve operational processes, network efficiency, and market growth.
What will you bring to the team?
Proficient with SQL, Google Sheets, and BI tools to analyse performance required.
Data-driven and commercially aware mindset.
Experience in operations, logistics, or marketplace environments.
Strong analytical capability and comfort working with operational metrics and data.
Strong commercial and financial awareness, understanding how operational decisions impact cost efficiency.
Ability to diagnose operational problems and translate insights into clear actions.
Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
