Breast Surgery Consultant Maternity Cover
The BreastCheck Southern Unit and Cork University Hospital are seeking a highly skilled and experienced specialist to cover a maternity leave role in their breast unit.
1. Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with breast diseases and diagnostics in clinics.
2. Perform a comprehensive range of breast surgeries, including wire-guided localisations, use of localizers, oncoplastic procedures, and immediate breast reconstruction.
Responsibilities will include:
* Ongoing coordination and collaboration with other departments within the hospital and screening centre.
* Liaison and cooperation with healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and associated agencies.
* Participation in the Breast Surgery On Call rota.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of general surgery.
* Two years certified postgraduate training in breast surgery is essential.
* Full permission to reside and work in the State is required.
