We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team in our Listowel manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the equipment used within our plant.
You will use your craft qualification to effect this.
You will contribute to increasing the reliability of process and utility equipment in support of manufacturing requirements for dependability, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
As part of the Maintenance Team, you will work with colleagues from all levels of operations and quality to identify and prioritise equipment issues.
An ability to work effectively within your team is essential.
The maintenance technician role involves working on a shift rotation, with some shift overtime.
The Listowel facility processes 500 million litres of milk annually.
Listowel offers a comprehensive range of products including Dairy Proteins, Primary Dairy Ingredients, Dry Dairy Ingredients, Dairy Flavours, and Cheese Solutions, which are used in various applications such as Dairy, Bakery, Nutritional Beverages, Savoury snacks, cereals and bars, confectionery, prepared meals, ice-cream, and frozen desserts.
Key responsibilities
Provide technical support to Production for machine and equipment maintenance, installation, and modification; perform detailed maintenance, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Support maintenance planning and preventive maintenance through completing work orders, calibrations, and documenting maintenance activities, upgrades, and parts used.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including repairs, upgrades, and system failure investigations.
Adhere to Safety, Health & Environmental policies and procedures, carrying out all tasks safely and responsibly.
Work proactively with peers, production, quality, and support groups to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Respond to breakdowns, systematically fault find, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and skills
Electrical Craft Qualification with multi-skilled plant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience of working within the food industry is preferred.
Relevant H&S qualifications such as IOSH, Confined Spaces, etc.
Experience in fault-finding diagnostics and procedures.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Experience using CMMS.
