The Communications & Marketing Lead is responsible for coordinating and delivering Tiglin's day-to-day communications and marketing activity across digital channels, events, fundraising support, and partner communications.
This is a hands-on role that combines delivery of communications and marketing activity with responsibility for coordinating and supporting a small part-time communications team. The role works closely with senior leadership on messaging priorities while focusing on high-quality execution rather than organisational risk ownership.
Key responsibilities
Communications & Marketing Delivery
* Plan and deliver communications and marketing activity across digital, print, and event-related channels.
* Create and edit content for the website, newsletters, social media, and promotional materials.
* Support the development and delivery of campaigns aligned with organisational priorities.
* Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and brand application across all communications.
Digital & Social Media
* Manage Tiglin's website content and structure, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
* Plan, schedule, publish, and monitor social media content across platforms.
* Track engagement and performance, adapting content to improve reach and effectiveness.
Events, Fundraising & CSR Support
* Coordinate communications and promotion for organisational events and public initiatives.
* Provide communications support for fundraising campaigns, including digital promotion and platform content.
* Support CSR partnerships through content creation, updates, and impact communications.
Media & External Communications
* Draft press releases, stories, and media materials in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Support media engagement by coordinating logistics, monitoring coverage, and identifying opportunities.
* Maintain records of media contacts and coverage.
Internal Communications
* Support internal communications through the preparation of staff updates, briefings, and internal content.
* Assist leadership with internal messaging as required.
Brand & Quality Control
* Act as a day-to-day brand guardian, ensuring quality and consistency across communications materials.
* Oversee design and presentation standards for documents, digital assets, and promotional materials.
Team Coordination & Support
* Coordinate and support the work of two part-time communications/marketing staff.
* Allocate tasks, review output, provide guidance, and ensure deadlines are met.
* Foster a collaborative and supportive team working environment.
Skills, experience & attributes
Essential
* Experience delivering multi-channel communications or marketing activity.
* Strong written communication and content creation skills.
* Experience managing digital channels, including websites and social media.
* Ability to organise workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Confident working with colleagues across different teams and levels.
Desirable
* Experience supporting media or PR activity.
* Experience in fundraising, CSR, or not-for-profit communications.
* Experience coordinating or supervising others in a work or project setting.
* Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
