Responsibilities
* Identify new opportunities: Research and identify potential growth areas and viable income streams for the business, the following roles Architectural, Design Certifier, Assigned Certifier, PSDP, Quantity Surveying, Fire Engineering
* Generate leads: Proactively pursue new business through methods such as market research, networking, cold calling.
* Develop proposals: Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to pitch services to prospective clients
* Manage client relationships: Negotiate with stakeholders and nurture key accounts to their full potential, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business
* Stay up to date on industry developments, market positioning, and competitor strategies to inform business planning.
* Collaborate internally: Working with all teams and the Etenders team.
Skills and qualifications
* Relevant third-level qualification preferred to be it Architectural or Engineering qualification if possible
* 3–7 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management. A strong track record of hitting sales targets is crucial.
* Training or certification in bid/proposal writing (e.g. APMP) is an advantage
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and stakeholders. The role also demands leadership, strategic thinking, and strong self-motivation.
Experience in a live office environment
Familiarity with Architectural roles and services
Familiarity with public sector procurement portals such as eTenders
Knowledge of bid processes or proposal writing best practices
