Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, invoicing, and customer relationships. This role involves working closely with the wider finance and sales departments to provide administrative and reporting support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable, including contact customers for payment requests and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Process monthly files for collections, schedule and participate in regular debtor meetings, and handle regular bank lodgements and agree/issue customer statements.
- Generate invoices and set up relationships, resolve client billing issues promptly, and manage customer promotional activities and updates to delivery schedules.
- Provide team support by participating in monthly stock takes, handling general admin tasks such as telephone, reception duties, emails, and processing sales orders once a week and providing ad hoc cover.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or invoicing is essential.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach are required.
- A high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail is necessary for this role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team is essential.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and finance systems is a must.
- Flexible and willing to adapt working hours when required.
