The centre is anchored by Marks & Spencer, Dunnes Stores, Boots and Zara. In total there are over 180 stores and restaurants, with 7,000 car parking spaces available on site. The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of Centre Management to ensure that Blanchardstown Town Centre continues to thrive as an exceptional retail location.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Greater Dublin for a Centre Director at Blanchardstown Centre. The Centre Director will oversee the daily operations, manage tenant relations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness. They will also develop strategic plans to enhance business performance, coordinate events, and manage budgets. Continuous improvement of the services provided and successfully leading the team will be key responsibilities.
Role Overview
* Lead all aspects of managing Ireland's largest retail centre (85 acres, 159,000 m² retail space, 180+ stores, major anchors).
* Drive operational excellence, customer experience, tenant relations, marketing, ESG initiatives, and financial performance.
* Represent the centre as its key ambassador to stakeholders, local community, and media.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Operations:
Direct the Centre Management team, contractors, and service providers; maintain high operational standards; implement innovation and efficiency measures.
* Financial Management:
Oversee service charge budgets, manage costs, maximise retail sales and footfall, address void units strategically.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
Build relationships with tenants, landlord/asset team, council, and community; coordinate marketing and PR; chair retailer meetings.
* Health & Safety & Security:
Ensure compliance with legislation, cultivate a safety culture, manage risks, and coordinate security strategy.
* Marketing & Commercialisation:
Execute marketing strategies, enhance brand positioning, oversee PR, and develop commercial income streams.
* ESG:
Integrate sustainability into daily operations, align with tenant ESG goals, and promote achievements publicly.
Person Specification
Minimum:
* Senior Commercial Management experience
* Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a large team
* Excellent communicator at all levels
* Excellent presentation skills
* Excellent Financial Management Skills

* Ability to network
* Previous PR and Marketing exposure at a strategic level
* Strong operational H&S knowledge (preferably holding a qualification IoSH Managing Safely or equivalent).
* Previous real estate, retail, leisure, property/asset management experience
Desirable:
* 5+ years Centre Manager/Director experience
* BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management or working towards it.
* Previous experience of managing Operations in a retail/leisure scheme in excess of 250,000 (Alternatively Hotel or Airport management)
* Good knowledge of corporate responsibility and environmental issues.
* Achievement of other professional qualifications / awards relevant to the role
* Good knowledge of security licensing requirements and other security matters
