The Global Offering Manager - Busbar, based in Ireland or the UK, will lead product management efforts to drive growth and profitability of Vertiv's Busbar offerings. The role involves collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service teams to launch new offerings and manage the existing portfolio.
The Product Management team within the Busbar product line of the Power Management business unit manages the global portfolio of Busbar products and services. Responsibilities include launching new products, managing existing offerings, and overseeing end-of-life processes. The team operates globally and cross-functionally, engaging with customers, sales, engineering, marketing, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute product lifecycle management plans.
2. Create and maintain business cases for new products and services.
3. Research market trends, customer needs, and competitors.
4. Translate research insights into strategic product plans.
5. Ensure availability and accuracy of customer-facing documentation and marketing collateral.
6. Provide product information to customers, sales, and engineering teams.
7. Prepare and deliver presentations, demos, and sales tools.
8. Track post-launch sales performance metrics.
9. Collaborate with marketing for demand generation campaigns.
10. Manage pricing strategies and discounts.
11. Oversee product line profitability and forecasts.
12. Address issues related to delivery, quality, and inventory.
13. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
2. Knowledge of Busbar Trunking systems, IEC standards (e.g., IEC 61439), and UL 857.
3. 5+ years experience in technical, product/service management, or strategic roles.
4. Ability to build cross-functional and cross-regional relationships.
5. Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and project management skills.
6. Results-oriented with proven goal achievement.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and similar tools.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in electrification, data centers, or electrical infrastructure sectors.
* Background in cost reduction, supply chain optimization, and make-vs-buy decisions.
* Knowledge of emerging power distribution technologies, including AI and energy transition trends.
