What This Role Offers Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 Opportunity to take ownership of the people function within a busy retail environment while developing your leadership skills in a commercially focused setting Work within a well-established and structured retail business Strong career progression opportunities Dynamic, team-driven environment Key Responsibilities Support the overall daily operation of the supermarket as part of the management team Take ownership of recruitment, onboarding, and staff training processes Manage employee relations, including performance management and absence management Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company HR policies Support and coach department managers on people management best practice Monitor staffing levels, rostering, and labour costs Drive a positive culture focused on engagement, retention, and performance Ensure high standards across customer service, store presentation, and operations The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a retail management role (Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar) Strong exposure to HR or people management within a retail environment Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage both operational and people-focused responsibilities Highly organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment This is a 6-month maternity cover contract with strong exposure to a fast-paced retail operation and potential future opportunities.
